Clay Fossils - Handmade Pottery, Incense burner, black Morning Bird

Drawing by Susan Walton pressed into a slab of clay with black accents. A bead of clay is added to the surface that holds stick incense for burning. These pieces are approximately 4.5 inches in diameter and will vary slightly in size, shape and color as they are handmade, one piece at a time. They are not completely round and the distinct difference from piece to piece shows the beauty that you can only find in handmade work. Covered with a glossy food safe glaze and fired to 2000 degrees F (earthenware)
